VEGAN DAY is being celebrated today in San Juan, Alicante, as part of the areas Vegan Fest promotion, aimed at raising awareness of a growing trend in Spain for an animal-free diet.

This event hopes to be a meeting for both seasoned experts and those who want to know veganism and antispecism more closely, through talks, cooking workshops and information booths, products and food.

Accompanying visitors on this adventure will be David Román, president of the Spanish Vegetarian Union UVE, Daniel Blanco and Pablo Vidal of Gente Reverde, Mónica Valenciano of Santuario Espíritu Libre, Eva Benet Graduate in history and feminist, Aitor and Andy from Vegan Roots.
